Four years ago I became a mommy but I found myself feeling very scared and vulnerable I had been diagnosed with a rare condition intrahepatic cholestasis, which affects the liver and in turn caused my baby Jack to be born into the special care baby unit at the RVI hospital Newcastle; It is solely down to the expertise of all the staff those that can both be seen on-ward and those hidden behind the scenes that I still have Jack to this day.
From having Jack I then started The Spoon - feeling fidgety on my maternity leave both Jack and me set to work on this most amazing and exciting adventure that has now grown into The Travelling Spoon; so as we, in turn, grow as a business we thought it was about time we tried to give something back to this very special place that has not only touched our hearts but so many other families within the North East.
